Two decades turning cement quality into a strategic advantage — from the quarry face to the customer’s site, across six cement producers in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
01 About
As Quality Assurance Manager and Integrated Management System Representative at Arabian Cement Company in Rabigh, I own quality across raw materials, clinker, cement and laboratory performance — and steer ACC’s IMS across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 22301.
My career runs from the laboratory bench at Lafarge to heading quality functions at Qassim Cement, Amreyah Cement and El Sewedy Cement. Along the way I have commissioned X-ray and chemical laboratories, implemented SAP S/4HANA QM, re-engineered cement compositions for cost and CO₂, and taken products through international registration.
I pair laboratory science with business strategy: an MSc in Cement Chemistry & Technology, an MBA from Marywood University × AASTMT, and an ongoing DBA at the Arab Academy.
My mission is to lead cross-functional teams to excellence — fostering a culture of quality, mentoring professionals and developing cement solutions that reduce environmental impact.
02 Capabilities
Nine capability areas, refined across two decades of plant, laboratory and boardroom work.
Every decision starts with the evidence. Reading the mineralogy of clinker — alite, belite, aluminate, ferrite — is how quality targets become cost, energy and CO₂ results.
Management Representative for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 22301 — audits, management review, risk registers, BIA and continuity planning embedded into daily operations.
End-to-end ownership from quarry face to customer site: raw materials, clinker, cement and final-product performance against ASTM, EN and SASO.
Blended and performance cements, SCM utilisation, LC3 and bypass-dust valorisation — lowering clinker factor and CO₂ in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Composition and fineness engineering that cuts grinding power, heat consumption and net cost while raising capacity and product consistency.
Lab commissioning, calibration governance, proficiency testing and advanced characterisation that makes every result defensible.
SAP S/4HANA QM & PP implementation, automated error-proof reporting, IIoT and Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) roadmaps.
Extraction planning with contractors, crusher optimisation, raw-meal uniformity and qualification of alternative raw materials.
Senior technical interface with ready-mix producers, consultants and end-users — root-cause investigations, site visits and claims reduction.
Individual Development Plans, quality foundations, Six Sigma Yellow Belt and cement fundamentals programmes that build capable teams.
03 Proven track record
Selected outcomes delivered through composition optimisation, process control and disciplined quality management.
Uplift through cement composition optimisation
Reduction on the main portfolio product
Increase on the flagship product line
From composition and process optimisation
Portfolio expanded to serve new market segments
Specific heat consumption cut by a new raw-mix design
Led the complete technical dossier for Type I/II cement to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), enabling the parent company SESCO Trade to finalise U.S. registration.
Delivered the Quality Management and Production Planning modules end-to-end: material masters, inspection characteristics, sampling procedures, inspection plans, BOMs, routings and production versions.
Commissioned X-ray, chemical, and manual & automatic sample-preparation labs; defined quality KPIs, targets, SOPs and an automated error-proof reporting system.
Member of the LC3 (Limestone Calcined Clay Cement) development committee; introduced 2% bypass-dust utilisation and other cementitious by-products.
Resolved quality issues that had persisted for years, redesigned the raw mix and deployed a new control strategy that unified raw-meal targets and improved sustainability.
Elevated QA and IMS from compliance functions to strategic enablers — leading certification audits, management reviews, risk registers and business-continuity readiness.

Held responsibility for the corporate and plant quality manuals and daily QA/QC across raw materials, raw mix, clinker, fuel and cement.
A decade leading quality control — including QA Section Head (Oct 2015 — Feb 2017) — across concrete research, physical, chemical and fuel laboratories.
Quality control for three production lines, four cement mills and six cement types, with X-ray analysis and calibration.
Full responsibility for raw-mix preparation, clay-quarry optimisation and QC of one production line.
